James R. Lovelace, M.B.A.
President and CEO
Mr. Lovelace received his B.A. in psychology and his M.B.A. in business from the University of Texas at Austin. He has over 30 years of direct and administrative experience in behavioral medicine and rehabilitation. He has served as the Administrator or Chief Operating Officer in a variety of health care settings in Texas over the last 25 years. For the last 15 years he has worked in the brain injury rehabilitation field building post-acute continuums of care and vocational programs to serve individuals with acquired brain injuries. He has three successful facility start-ups to his credit during his career, the last two of which were post acute brain injury programs. The most recent of these is TLC's newest program in Lubbock, Texas
Mr. Lovelace joined TLC in September of 2005 as the Director of Business Development to expand TLC's presence in the now competitive brain injury rehabilitation marketplace and continue the movement in the industry toward bringing brain injury services "closer to home." In 2011 he was promoted to the Vice President of Operations and continues to lead the effort to expand TLC's presenece. Mr. Lovelace has advanced his leadership role, He was promoted to President and CEO of The Transitional Learning Center in 2017.
